I think the "Lone Ranger" may be responsible
for my ongoing affair with silver, or perhaps
because at birth they used to clean the
babies' eyes with silver nitrate. Maybe
it was the dentist stuffing it into my teeth.

It could also have been all the silver I
came into contact with assisting in my
father's camera shop & photo lab.
It seems as though silver was always
with me. Even now I have a little in my hair.

My father was a lapidary, first as a
hobbiest & later as an artist & craftsman
in his gallery, the "Silver Saguaro" in
Scottsdale, Arizona, where I worked
off & on for many years.

My focus was always working with the
metal, which to me is more enjoyable &
much more forgiving than gemstones.
I enjoy the mini-sculpture aspect of
silversmithing.

I have worked & lived all over the
Southwestern United States & have
had the privilege of working with many
Native & contemporary masters.

I am currently enjoying life on the
Southern California coast.
